APEDIN / TERMS OF USE
Terms of Use
The rules for accounts, callouts, community participation and rewards.
Last updated 13 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-13 · Launch draft
Community content and popularity are not proof of token safety. Keep your identities secure, respect other people’s rights, and disclose commercial interests. Moderation and rewards can be reviewed. Your mandatory consumer rights remain protected.
1. Scope and eligibility
These Terms of Use set out the rules for apedin at apedin.family and its account, publishing and community features. “apedin”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this service. This is a launch draft awaiting final operator and jurisdiction disclosures and legal review before public release.
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into an agreement to use account features. Do not create an account for a child or circumvent age or access restrictions. An age statement or connected wallet is not proof that someone else is an adult. Use the service only where your use is lawful.
You can browse the public feed without an account. The Privacy Policy explains information handling; it is not a request for blanket consent to unrelated uses of your information. An external provider’s terms apply to that provider’s own service.
2. What the service provides
apedin is a social service for publishing, discovering and discussing token callouts and theses. It combines native contributions with material from identified external sources. Source coverage may be incomplete, duplicated, delayed or interrupted. Imported profiles can appear before their owners join; appearance in the feed does not mean that person endorses apedin.
A “Thesis” label describes a post format, not a review or approval of its reasoning. A verified connection or claimed profile indicates an identity check within its stated scope, not a verified legal identity, financial qualification or endorsement. A badge, level or popularity ranking is not a safety rating.
The current service does not execute trades, take custody of funds or offer a paid subscription. Any future paid feature, token offering or financial reward would require separate information and applicable terms before participation; these terms do not authorise automatic charges.
3. Financial content and token risks
Callouts are community discussion, not a personal recommendation from apedin. We do not assess your objectives, finances or risk tolerance. Posts may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, sponsored or biased. Authors may hold, receive or sell the assets they discuss. Do your own assessment and seek appropriately qualified advice when needed.
Cryptoassets and memecoins may lose all value. Scams, market manipulation, disappearing liquidity, contract vulnerabilities, exchange failures and irreversible transactions can cause losses. Past performance, engagement, a caller’s trade history or an automated indicator does not predict returns.
Market mood, prices, activity rates and provider metrics can be snapshots, estimates or partial observations. Counts from different services are not necessarily comparable. Neither a disclaimer on a post nor these terms excuses misleading conduct or removes any legal obligations that apply to us or its author.
4. Accounts, connected identities and security
Use sign-in methods and external profiles you control or are authorised to manage. Do not impersonate others or claim a profile merely because it uses a similar handle. Claiming imported history may require additional evidence and can be refused or corrected if evidence is insufficient or a claim is disputed.
Keep your devices and sign-in methods secure, check messages before signing, and tell us promptly about suspected compromise. We do not need your wallet recovery phrase or private key. Connecting a wallet for authentication is not permission to transfer funds. Recovery can depend on your sign-in provider; we cannot recover a lost private key.
Unlinking an identity, logging out, deleting your apedin account and deleting a provider account are different actions. Review the deletion explanation before removing an account. Your responsibility to use reasonable care does not make you automatically liable for all unauthorised activity or remove our own responsibilities.
5. Community and acceptable-use rules
You are responsible for the content and interactions you submit. Do not:
- Post unlawful threats, targeted harassment, hateful abuse, sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or material encouraging violence or other serious harm.
- Publish private information without a lawful basis, impersonate someone, make defamatory allegations, infringe intellectual property, or post material you do not have the right to share.
- Use phishing, malicious links, malware, fraudulent promotions, fabricated performance claims, coordinated market manipulation or concealed commercial incentives. Disclose paid promotion, sponsorship, referral benefits and material interests clearly in the relevant post.
- Create fake engagement, use multiple accounts to bypass reward limits, buy or sell accounts or earned status, misuse reports, evade restrictions, or claim someone else’s work or identity.
- Bypass access controls or rate limits, interfere with security or availability, harvest private data, or make automated requests that harm the service. Public access does not itself grant a licence to republish other people’s content.
Good-faith criticism and disagreement are allowed. Report suspected security issues privately through our contact email; do not access other people’s data or disrupt the service to demonstrate a problem.
6. Ownership and permission to display content
You retain your rights in original posts, images and comments. Only submit material you own or are otherwise entitled to use, including any necessary permissions for other people’s personal information and likenesses.
You grant the service operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission to host, store, reproduce, resize or format, display and distribute your submitted content as reasonably necessary to operate apedin, support sharing features you use, maintain security and moderate the service. Technical service providers may exercise that permission only to provide those functions for us. This does not transfer ownership or grant an unrestricted right to sell your work or use your identity in unrelated advertising.
Normal public display ends when content is removed, subject to discussion placeholders and copies already shared. Limited internal processing can continue for the retention purposes explained in the Privacy Policy, subject to applicable law. Other users and external services may retain their own copies. This permission does not displace your privacy rights or any rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
apedin’s own branding, software and artwork remain subject to their owners’ rights and any applicable licence. Third-party content, names and logos remain the property of their owners. A source badge or link does not imply affiliation. No licence to an imported source’s material arises merely from these terms.
7. External sources, links and services
Sign-in providers, wallets, social platforms, image hosts and linked chart or trading services are independent services. Their availability, data quality, security and terms can change. Opening a link may disclose ordinary request information to its destination, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Check the destination, network and token address before using an external service. We do not guarantee that a linked asset is genuine, liquid or safe, or that an external service will complete a transaction. These limitations do not exclude responsibility that the law places on apedin for its own conduct.
8. Editing and deleting contributions
Supported text fields can be edited, with an edited label and viewable history; the original token, chain and posting time remain fixed. Do not use edits to conceal misleading claims, substitute a different call, or circumvent moderation.
Deleting a post stops its normal public display and can leave “Post deleted” in a discussion. It does not necessarily erase the text, revision history or related records from internal storage. Account deletion removes more information; see the specific deletion rules. Other people’s independent replies or externally held copies may remain.
Deletion and reposting do not reset reward eligibility or daily allowances. Pending credits can be cancelled and credits attributable to deleted content can be reversed under the applicable reward rules.
9. XP, achievements and prestige
Progression may be preview-only or disabled until expressly activated. Where active, the published eligibility rules, per-action limits, delays and verification requirements apply. Performing an action does not guarantee a reward. Repeated toggles or shares of the same callout do not create repeat entitlement.
Received engagement and the actions you perform can be treated differently. A recorded share action is not proof that an external post was published. Imported profiles may accumulate provisional credit from qualifying activity on apedin; a verified claim is needed to allocate it, without counting the same activity twice. External history is not automatically eligible.
We may correct calculation errors, cancel pending credit and reverse rewards for content deletion or confirmed abuse. Corrections can affect level, prestige eligibility and displayed achievements; prestiging does not protect invalid credit. Reports and unconfirmed AI flags alone do not establish grounds for a penalty. You can request human review of an error.
XP, prestige, badges and founding distinctions are service recognition only. They are not money, transferable property offered by us, an entitlement to a token or NFT, or a promise of profit. Material rule changes will be explained with notice where reasonably practicable. Changes must have a reasonable purpose, such as fixing errors or abuse, balancing progression or retiring a feature; they do not remove mandatory legal rights.
10. Moderation, restrictions and appeals
We can investigate and take proportionate action for reasonably suspected rule violations, safety or security risks, or legal requirements. This can include labelling or temporarily hiding content, limiting features, removing confirmed violations or suspending an account. Serious or repeated violations can lead to termination.
AI assists first-pass review and may flag content or temporarily hide suspected spam. It can be wrong. A report alone is not proof of wrongdoing. Permanent bans and XP penalties require human review; a temporary AI hide is not a confirmed finding.
When reasonably practicable, we will explain a restriction and how to challenge it. We may act immediately or limit disclosure where necessary for safety, an investigation or law. Email us with the content or account reference, the disputed decision and your explanation to request human review. If a decision is overturned, we will address the affected content, access and associated reward records as appropriate.
Blocking limits supported interactions within apedin; it does not make previously public material private or prevent someone from viewing copies elsewhere. The service is not an emergency response channel.
11. Content, copyright and other complaints
Use the Report action where available, or email [email protected] with the relevant URL or identifier, the issue, and enough context to locate it. For copyright complaints, identify the protected work, the material at issue, your relationship to the rights holder, contact details and why you believe the use is unauthorised. For privacy, impersonation or allegedly unlawful content, explain whose rights are affected and the relevant facts.
Provide accurate information in good faith. We may ask for proportionate evidence and may need to share the substance of a complaint with the affected person to allow a response; private contact details will not be published as part of a report. Do not attach illegal imagery or unnecessary sensitive information. Supply a location or reference instead. You may also use applicable regulator or court processes; contacting us is not a waiver of those rights.
12. Availability, changes and ending use
We aim to provide a useful service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, complete source coverage or error-free third-party information. Maintenance, provider outages and security incidents may affect access. Keep your own copies of important material.
We may reasonably change, suspend or retire features for operational, security or legal reasons. We will give reasonable notice of material reductions or closure where practicable, and an opportunity to export account data when safe and lawful. You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time.
Ending use does not undo an already completed disclosure or erase lawful obligations and records. Content permissions continue only to the limited extent described above, together with provisions needed to resolve earlier conduct, complaints and legal rights.
13. Consumer rights and responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, remedy, duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. No wording here requires you to give up rights against misleading conduct or other unlawful acts.
The risk and service descriptions explain the limits of a community feed; they are not a blanket release from liability for apedin’s own conduct. Responsibility for any loss will depend on applicable law and the facts, including the conduct that caused it. There is no automatic right to compensation merely because a token falls in value, and no guarantee of recovery or reimbursement for an independent transaction.
These terms impose no unlimited indemnity on you, no compulsory arbitration, and no waiver of a right to bring a claim that applicable law protects.
14. Disputes and interpretation
For a complaint, email [email protected] with what happened and the resolution you seek. We will acknowledge it and consider a practical resolution. You can still contact a regulator or an appropriate court, including for urgent relief; this process does not suspend legal time limits or make internal review a mandatory prerequisite.
No exclusive foreign court or governing-law selection is imposed by this launch draft. Applicable law and any mandatory local consumer protections continue to determine your rights. If a provision is unenforceable, it applies only to the extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions continue where they can fairly do so. A delay in enforcing a right is not, by itself, a waiver.
15. Updates and contact
We will identify revisions by date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Where the law requires fresh agreement or consent, we will obtain it; publishing an update is not a substitute. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued statutory rights. If you disagree with new terms, you can stop using the service and use its export and deletion controls.
Contact [email protected] for support, privacy, moderation appeals and legal enquiries. General enquiries are also available through our Contact page. Email is our preferred contact channel, without changing any legal requirements for formal service of documents.
