An AI Made for Making Memes?
Researchers have developed an entire AI framework dedicated to understanding internet memes and generating its own.
The insane part is that HUMOR doesn't just generate random captions.
It actually studies why memes are funny, explores different punchlines, and learns which jokes humans prefer.
They've already released HUMOR-COT, an AI model built on Qwen2.5-VL, alongside HUMOR-RM, a separate model trained to evaluate humor.
Their public dataset also contains over 35,000 meme-image entries.
We're literally entering an era where AI is being trained to understand and recreate internet meme culture itself.
And they actually named the entire project HUMOR.
